God The Father, created men to
rule the world, but they turned away from the Creator because they sinned.
Divine Eternal Father loved human beings, for he sent his son Jesus Christ with
new and innovative teachings. The Good Shepherd welcomed prostitutes and sinners
with love and without any prejudice. As this behaviour bothered powerful
people, they crucified Him. God, The Father, is love, life and He resurrected
His son on the third day. With this act of love, Jesus Christ has freed men
from their sin.
Nowadays, with so much scientific knowledge and
inventions, why are there in the world wars, violence, vices, hunger,
exploitation of nature and of human beings? Man has turned away from his
creator and His teachings. Priest Léo, in his book called “Buscai as Coisas do
Alto” (Look for Things From Above), stated: “We must overcome conflicts, find
solutions through dialogue and sharing. One must yield. No one can claim
ownership of the truth”.
Family is still the best place where we can
live with our alike and be ourselves. We need to have a purpose and a goal in
life. Because we see, in the world and in our society, people addicted to
prohibited drugs or legalized ones such as cigarettes and alcoholic beverages.
Also there are numerous fatal accidents with automotive vehicles because of
alcohol and high speed. Many pretend to be saints, but with gossips, they talk
badly, judge and condemn others. We need to discern and examine our conscience
to do good to our fellow men by following the examples of Jesus Christ.
In His time and for over 2,000 years, many
faithful people seek Jesus Christ for miracles. Because they want their
sufferings to go away and that God grant their requests. Life, joys,
sufferings, illness, and death are part of the cycle of the life of men. We
need to weep, to suffer, to live and to experience some news so we can find
peace. We cannot ask God to get us rid of problems, pains and sufferings. In
our prayers we beg His help to overcome the obstacles of life. The peace of
Jesus Christ rejoices our hearts. We have our weaknesses, but we are strengthen
through our battles to beat our daily challenges. Instead of arguments there
must be dialogue, instead of hatred, love and instead of vengeance, forgiveness.
And in the suffering of others, there must be support and solidarity.
Jesus Christ and His disciples ask us not to
conform to the world but to change it with our good deeds. Some people use to
sell false illusions of happiness, for example, a consumer will be happy if
he/she buys a certain product. School education has problems at all levels, it
spends money making advertisements with the promise of overcoming them. Society
itself needs to value education, respect its alike and learn the subject while
studying.
Selfishness, lies, drugs and pornography
attract people, many need to be part of it to be accepted in a specific kind of
group. The Hole Trinity accepts us the way we are. We do not have to wear
makeup, fashionable clothes, to have money, new cars or brand new cell phones.
If it brought happiness why countless citizens commit suicide or die of
overdose?
What is lacking in the world is the love of
God, to oneself and to one’s neighbour. People usually meet all the requests of
children, teenagers don’t know how to wait and demand that everybody fulfill
their requests. With money you can purchase things, you earn it through
employment. With the high level of unemployment many families are in debt. With
certain arguments, parents worry about paying their debts but do not give love,
attention and good examples to their children. As they turned away from God
they are overwhelmed by sins. Many deceive themselves into thinking that they
will solve their problems with drugs and violence. Thousands of young people
and adults get addicted to drugs because they lack meaning in their lives.
Only God The Father, God the Son and The Holy
Spirit will give special meaning to our lives. The greatest teaching of Jesus
Christ is to love the Holy Trinity and our neighbours as ourselves.
Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus Christ, but
people often condemn him to be responsible for the crucifixion of our Beloved
Master. Faced with wars, violence, hunger, misery and countless social problems
we often ignore them and find excuses instead of being sympathetic and through
dialogue try to soften them. We must follow the teaching of Jesus Christ, ask
for the mercy of the Father and the help of the Holy Spirit. “I have told you
these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have
trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (Jn 16, 33)
