Divergences at the Morisco Kingdon

During the Middle Ages, the Morisco Kingdom was isolated in the forest. In this place the inhabitants were dwarfs, a male adult use to have half a meter and ten centimeters. His legs were fourty-five centimeters, the body thirty-five centimeters, the neck five centimeters. The head was oval because it was twenty-five centimeters high by fifty centimeters long. Women were smaller than men. The Morisco Kingdom had five cities and was ruled by King Juarez. Your Majesty appointed the mayors of the cities. Every five years he asked people how was the management of the mayors. If people approved it, they continued to govern the city for another five years. But if the population criticized it, the mayor would be replaced by a new one. Temptation city was the most problematic of this kingdom. Many poor people lived in this place, several had no houses, the ones who had built it and lived in shacks and starved. For being a violent place several people moved from this place. The greatest city’s villain was the mayor Duke Enéas. He never helped people and use to steal the money sent by the king to help them. This man was the only boss of the place so he explored his employees. This man's castle was built near the forest. In the forest was the Silver Palm Tree, from the branches were made perfumes and the delicious sunrise tea. Of the fruits accompanied with other ingredients was made the sweet in pieces Aurora, the favorite dessert of the inhabitants of the kingdom. In the forest there were many Silver Palm Trees and the duke use to send his servants to cut them and clear the place. Men, women, children, and the elderly worked fifteen hours a day in exchange for a silver coin. Men cut Palm Trees and carried them to the castle. In the shack, women, children and the elderly, under the orders of foremen prepared the perfumes, teas and sweets. As it had been five years since Enéas was mayor, King Juarez could soon replace him with another. Then he ordered the soldiers to threaten people, because if he was dismissed by the king he would leave the city. He would not hire anyone to work and without money everyone would starve. Desiring to please people Your Majesty sent messengers to announce that in the following weekend he would visit Temptation. He would make a contest of poetry and chronicles and the first place would win a hundred gold coins. Few were interested in the contest because only a few people could read and write. Lolita, an eighteen-year-old girl was excited, she

worked as a servant at Count Genésio's house. Luckily, she learned how to read and write while watching the teacher teaching his boss's children. In the Morisco kingdom, the laws and books were written in sheepskin and they used blackberry sap to write with feathers of vulture's tail. At dinner the girl said that she needed to buy a sheepskin to write the story, as she was sure she would win the contest prize. Happy, she would help her family and friends. Laughing, Laurentino, Lolita’s father, said they could get a lamb in the old mill of Dara Valley. The girl and her brother, Murilo, were frightened, because in this place lived the dragon Uomo. Laurentino said that the existence of this monster was a myth and asked if Lolita and Murilo would help him capture the lamb. Excited, they both agreed to help their father, so on Sunday they would eat roast lamb. They agreed to go to Dara Valley the next night because there would be a full moon. The two brothers slept just a little since they were thinking about the adventures of facing the dragon. The hours passed slowly and when it got dark Laurentino took the old horse and put it in the cart and accompanied by his children went to the valley. In the brightness of the full moon they appreciated the beauty of the forest. Some sheeps lived in this place because they belonged to an old man who lived alone in the old mill. After his death, those animals remained in the forest. After forty minutes they saw a lamb from a distance. Anxiously, they ran and came close to it. Suddenly, they got startled by hearing a loud noise. They almost fainted when they saw Dragon Uomo. The animal's body had the shape of a half circle, about ten feet long and six feet high. The tail was thick and about ten feet long. The neck was five meters. With his huge mouth it could eat a calf giving only one bite, had two black eyes and two large ears. Several sheeps approached the monster. Amazed, the three saw Dragon Uomo caressing them, because they were their pets. Laurentino said that the big beast was tamed, so he asked his children to distract them while he would pick up a lamb. Lolita was scared, Murilo being brave went help his father. The boy took three small stones and threw one at Dragon Uomo. The animal looked at him and the boy tossed two more stones at him. Terrified, he began to run as the dragon began to chase after him. Murilo climbed a tree and fearing that her brother would be injured, the girl hit the tail of the beast with a piece of wood. Feeling pain the monster wagged its tail and threw the girl into a large rock. Luckily, several sheeps went near the dragon Uomo and more calmly the monster forgot the young people and began caressing the animals with its tongue. After a few minutes the animals and the dragon left, Murilo got off from the tree and asked if his sister was well. Lolita replied that she only had a fright. Smiling, Laurentino announced he had taken the lamb, so they

returned home. On Friday night in the barnyard two adults killed the lamb. On Saturday, Lolita wrote the chronicle on the animal's skin. Laurentino invited some people to lunch at his place, for he would make roast lamb. While they were having lunch the girl screamed as she bit into a piece of hard meat. Desmayed, she looked at herself in the mirror and realised that the night the dragon's tail Uomo threw her into the rock, because of the impact, some of her teeth cracked. But now they had fallen, she lost two teeth from the bottom of her mouth and three teeth from the top. Disappointed, she cried because people would call her "tooth-gapped". Murilo encouraged her, because she should read the chronicle to the king, for if she won she would help many people. At two a.m., all the inhabitants went to the central square of Temptation city. While greeting King Juarez and Duke Enéas the royal guard surrounded the place. Your Majesty asked the residents how the mayor's administration was. Everyone was quiet, the king told them to stop being fearful, because men of his trust investigated the city hall. They found out that the mayor was exploiting people and stealing Money from them. He ordered the soldiers to arrest Juarez, so they could judge him and punish him for his crimes and smiling, presented Count Orlando to the population, the city's new mayor. At five p.m., King Juarez declared he wanted to hear the poems and chronicles written by the residents. However, fearing the mayor Enéas, they did not write anything. Boldly Lolita presented herself to the Majesty and began to read the chronicle:

CITY TEMPTATION: OUR PEOPLE

My boss's children are going to apply for a chronicle contest. I also want to participate in it, but I'm not educated and intellectual like them. I do not mind being called a redneck or illiterate. My name is Lolita and I'm eighteen. But as I am tenatious, I am going to write my chronicle: people talk about deforestation. Everyone needs to preserve the environment so we can continue to survive. We are happy when we hear the birds singing and when we see the beauty of flowers. Wow! But speaking of flowers, we can not leave clean water in vases and old pots, because the mosquito reproduces and transmits dengue and yellow fever. Our mayor boasts of his works, though he does not talk about the misery and homelessness of the poor population of the city. Please, King Juarez, choose a decent politician to govern Temptation city, to reduce the poverty and violence of this place. So I will pretend to be a foreigner and say how I like it here: J’aime Temptation city.

 Lolita won the one hundred gold coins, helped her father, relatives

and friends with the money. Count Orlando made changes in the city hall and stopped logging the forest. They would grow Silver Palm Trees and other foods. He decided to continue the operation of the factory in the castle that was expropriated of Enéas. The employees would work eight hours, be payed two silver coins a day and have Sundays off. Children and teenagers would no longer work, because they should go to school to study. The old people would rest, the mayor would retire them. Thirty days later on Sunday they had a party in the town square to honor Mayor Count Orlando. Dorival, a twenty-year-old boy, clerk of the mayor approached Lolita, congratulated her for defying the villain Enéas and said he was in love with her. She was ashamed to be poor and toothless, she did not deserve his love. Smiling, he asked to kiss her, because he wanted to be the owner of her heart. As she loved him they both hugged and kissed each other.

A Pedra Azul Explosiva

- Como é que a senhora tem certeza que eu a acompanharei ao Vale Pedregulho? Perguntou Ardel bravo.

- Se o senhor tem uma ideia melhor para destruir os Ubelinos então me diga, respondeu Elenir.

Ardel conversou com aquela mulher por mais alguns minutos, chateado percebeu que a Pedra Azul Explosiva era a única coisa que destruiria os Ubelinos. Elenir havia escondido a fantasia em um velho castelo que passeava com o finado marido. Ardel estava preocupado com a menina que foi sequestrada pelos Ubelinos, ele se disfarçou e foi a vila. Um senhor contou que aqueles monstros a libertaram, a pobrezinha chorava direto, pois passou bastante medo. Como estava escurecendo ele guerreiro e Elenir foram a velha cabana da floresta.

Animado pescou alguns peixes no rio. A rainha os limpou, temperou com sal e os assou na fogueira. Ardel a elogiou, pois fazia bastante tempo que não tinha um jantar gostoso.

No domingo cedo assim que Elenir acordou abriu a janela do quarto. A cinco metros da cabana tinha um pé da maça, ela caminhou até a arvore frutífera e colheu alguns frutos para o café da manha. Assim que entrou na cozinha Ardel apavorado falou:

- Quando fui ao quarto e não a encontrei fiquei apavorado, pois pensei que os Ubelinos haviam nos encontrado.

Sorrindo Elenir falou:

- Eu fui ao pé de maça colher alguns frutos para comermos no café da manha.

Eles comeram as maças, Ardel pegou três sacolas com raiz de cravo, ele ficou com duas e entregou uma a Elenir. Então pegaram a fantasia e se dirigiram ao Vale Pedregulho. Quando estavam a uns dois quilômetros deste lugar colocaram a fantasia de urso. Ardel vestiu a parte de frente com as duas patas frontais e a cabeça. Elenir colocou a de trás, com as suas mãos segurava na cintura do guerreiro, assim que ela curvou o seu corpo os dois caminhavam vagarosamente. Passados cinquenta minutos chegaram defronte a Rocha Central. Elenir tremia de medo quando escutava o barulho dos ursos. Eles caminharam ao redor daquela grande rocha. Ardel viu a pequena pedra Azul Explosiva em um buraco a dois metros de altura naquele rochedo. O urso se encostou à pedra, o guerreiro pegou uma faca e fez um corte na pata direita daquela fantasia. Tomando cuidado com a sua mão direita pegou a pedrinha Azul Explosiva. O urso começou a se afastar daquela grande rocha e caminharam cuidadosamente para saírem do vale Pedregulho. Após quarenta e cinco minutos tiraram a fantasia do urso, Elenir abraçou Ardel e emocionada, falou:

- Eu tive tanto medo que aqueles ursos fossem nos machucar.

Ardel segurava a pequena pedra Azul Explosiva na sua mão direita, então perguntou:

- Como é que esta pedra mágica destruirá o medalho Danuza?

- O senhor deve colocar a pedra Azul Explosiva em cima da pedra amarela do medalhão Danuza, respondeu Elenir.

- Isto me parece ser uma missão impossível, falou Ardel.

- Quando o senhor puser a pedrinha Azul Explosiva sobre a pedra amarela do medalhão Danuza saia correndo porque haverá uma grande explosão, falou Elenir. 

Frantic Passion

Carolina went to the square to find her childhood friend Luana. She had not seen her for ten years, because Luana’s father won a millionaire prize in lottery games, thus he moved out with his family to São Paulo and never returned to the small town Aurora. As she walked, Carolina remembered her childhood. At school, the boys use to say that the ugliest girl in town was Luana. The girls sighed for Diego because in addition to his good looking appeareance, he was a farmer's son. Currently, he was famous, his songs were successful and he was a soap opera actor. Carolina arrived at the square and sat down on the bench. She waited for about twenty minutes, but her friend did not show up. Desmayed, she decided to leave, when a beautiful woman approached her and said:

-"I'm sorry for the delay, I had a flat tire and had trouble changing it.

- "I'm sorry, miss, but I do not know you," Carolina said, upset.

-"My name is Luana Lopes," said the other girl, smiling.

- Wow! That ugly girl has become a beautiful woman!

Carolina said in amazement. "My father has become a millionaire, money makes miracles. I used braces, I had plastic surgery to remove scars from my face, since my breasts were small the doctor enhanced them with silicone and fifteen days ago they did a liposuction on my belly, Luana said. "You look stunning," Carolina said and hugged her friend. Luana asked for her help in order to conquer the great love of her life. Because she was always in love with the good-looking singer and actor Diego. She hired a private detective to investigate the life of this handsome boy. He was single since he had broken up with his last girlfriend. Next weekend, he would come to the city to visit his friend Zacarias, they would go to the Sweet Corn Festival, on Saturday. Luana would not miss this excellent opportunity to declarare her love for him. Carolina said she would help her, because she deserved to be happy with Diego. So the girl friends agreed to meet after three days and Luana gave to her friend two thousand dollars as a gift. On Friday morning, disguised, the girls began to follow Zacarias.

Several hours passed, but the boy kept on walking alone, Luana got discouraged. At two p.m., he went to a cafe, where he met another boy. Using the binoculars, Luana recognized Diego. After about ten minutes, anxiously, she approached them. While they were talking, several young ladies entered the cafeteria. Suddenly, one of them shouted, "I'm going to faint because I’m seeing the handsome singer and actor Diego. "Diego's doing a show in the northeast," Zacarias said. -Liar! Your friend is the heartthrob Diego, please, give me your autograph, said the girl. "I want to kiss him on the mouth," said the other girl. Zacarias and Diego ran out of the cafe but several girls started following them. Near the corner a motorcycle was parked, Diego grabbed the key, turned on the vehicle and left the city along with his friend.

 Luana got saddened, and all the women of the city was standind in front of Zacarias’ house. They wanted to talk to Diego and take pictures with the famous actor and singer. At seven p.m., Zacarias returned home all by himself and said, "Diego wants to come to the Green Corn Festival tomorrow. He wants to talk and take pictures with his fans, but he wants to be treated as a normal human being and not as an idol. Zacarias’ twin cousins laughed and said together: - We will protect Diego from the wicked women of this city. The women talked to each other and agreed to respect Diego, because everyone should have fun at the Sweet Corn Party. On Saturday, at eight p.m., the famous boy arrived at the event. Several people greeted him, some girls asked for his autograph or took pictures of him. Zacarias, his twin cousins and the policeman João protected Diego. After a few minutes of greetings, the mayor came closer and asked them to taste cooked sweet corn, pamonha, sweet corn pudding, cake, and other foods. People asked Diego to sing his famous songs and at eleven p.m. he went up on stage and began to sing them. The show lasted almost two hours, the crowd applauded. Luana, from afar, was discouraged, for she could not talk to her love. At three a.m., Diego and his friend Zacarias left the party. Carolina felt sorry for her friend so she called Zacarias and asked him to help Luana declare her love for her Prince Charming. At first the boy tried to get rid of her, but he was moved to help them. Diego was staying in Zacarias' uncle's house. He arrived at the place during the night, glad he had fun at the party. He went to the guest room, took a shower, then laid down on the bed. After about five minutes Luana entered the room and recited this poetry:

MY HANDSOME PRINCE CHARMING

IN FAIRY TALES THERE IS NOBODY AS SPECIAL AS YOU

IF SNOW WHITE OR CINDERELLE EXISTED

THEY WOULD LEAVE THEIR COMPANIONS

I AM LUANA, THAT UGLY GIRL OF SCHOOL

UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT HAVE THE FAIRY GODMOTHER

BUT MONEY AND SOME PLASTIC SURGERIES TURNED ME

INTO A BEAUTIFUL LADY

DIEGO, SINCE MY CHILDHOOD I LOVE YOU DEEPLY

Diego was moved, hugged Luana and kissed her. Zacarias and Carolina were in the garden, upset the boy said:

- Diego has now a new girlfriend.

- Luana was able to fulfill her childhood dream, said Carolina.

- I will never get a girlfriend, because I'm ugly, poor and I do not have a car, Diego said.

- My teeth are crooked, I need to lose twenty pounds, and there are freckles and pimples on my face. I do not have money to go to the gym nor have plastic surgery, said Carolina. - Well, I'd love to date a cute, sweet girl like you, Zacarias said.

- Since you're a nice guy, I accept to be your girlfriend, said Carolina.

They both laughed then hugged and kissed each other.

A Conversa com a Rainha Elenir

No fundo daquele abismo havia um rio. Quando a rainha Elenir caiu naquelas águas nadou e subiu em uma pedra, devido ao susto desmaiou. Ardel mergulhou nas águas do rio, quando veio a superfície viu aquela mulher em cima de uma grande rocha. Ele se aproximou dela, quando percebeu que ainda estava viva a levou as margens do rio. Vagarosamente ela  acordou do desmaio, bravo Ardel falou:

- Estou com vontade de lhe matar porque a senhora se aliou aos maldosos Ubelinos.

Apavorada Elenir falou:

- Se eu não obedecer às ordens da rainha Amália aqueles monstros comerão o meu filho Homero.

- Mentirosa, o rei Terencia e o seu filho Homero um bebe de dois meses foram comidos pelos Ubelinos assim que invadiram o Reino Alegrete, falou Ardel.

Brava Elenir falou:

- Eu estou falando a verdade, se o senhor não acredita em mim pode me matar.

Chateado Ardel falou:

- A minha luta com os Ubelinos esta começando e não descansarei enquanto eles dominarem os três reinos da Ilha Adilar.

- Existem duzentos e cinquenta e oito Ubelinos, para derrotá-los o senhor precisara eliminar todos, falou Elenir.

Desanimado Ardel falou:

- As raízes do cravo me ajudam na luta com os Ubelinos, mas a muitos monstros para apenas um guerreiro.

- Anima-se senhor, para sobreviverem os Ubelinos precisam da energia do medalhão Danuza, destrua esta joia e aqueles monstros serão destruídos junto com ela, falou Elenir.

- Minha senhora onde esta o medalhão Danuza? Perguntou Ardel.

- As duas orelhas da rainha Amália seguram a gargantilha do medalhão Danuza, respondeu Elenir.

- Como é que eu possa ter certeza que a senhora esta falando a verdade? Perguntou Ardel.

- A rainha Amália era casada com o rei Eurides, então este ser descobriu que ela o traia com três Ubelinos. Para se vingar este Ubelino enfrentou perigos e encontrou a pedra Azul Explosiva que possui poderes para destruir o medalhão Danuza. Quando o meteorito em que moravam passava perto da Terra este ser tentou destruir a sua própria espécie e fracassou, respondeu Elenir.

- A pedra Azul Explosiva ainda existe? Perguntou novamente Ardel.

- Existe sim, a rainha Amália depois que matou o rei Eurides a levou no Vale Pedregulho e a colocou em cima da rocha Central, respondeu Elenir.

- Droga! Eu nunca conseguirei pegar a pedra Azul Explosiva porque no Vale Pedregulho vivem os ursos uivantes, falou Ardel.

- Medroso! Os ursos ruivantes não lhe machucarão se o senhor for parecido com eles, falou Elenir.

- Como a senhora é uma mulher corajosa por que se aliou aos Ubelinos em vez de destruí-los, falou Ardel.

- Porque a vida do meu filho Homero é a coisa mais importante do mundo, mas estou aguardando o momento oportuno para libertá-lo daqueles monstros, falou Elenir.

- Então me diga como é que ficarei parecido com os ursos ruivantes, falou Ardel.

- Antes dos Ubelinos invadirem o Reino Alegrete o meu finado marido Terencio queria fazer um baile a fantasia. Nós dois havíamos encomendado do costureiro uma fantasia de um urso ruivante, falou Elenir.

- A senhora ainda tem esta fantasia de urso? Perguntou Ardel.

- Tenho sim, eu a guardei porque estou procurando um guerreiro corajoso para ir junto comigo ao Vale Pedregulho pegar a Pedra Azul Explosiva, falou Elenir. 

Turnarounds at School by Tânia Tonelli

At a public school of a modern city, Vicente, instead of paying attention to the math class, was having fun with his cellphone games. This teenager was twelve years old and was studying in the 6th grade. While the teacher was explaining the content, he noticed that some boys were not paying attention to him. So, he came closer to one of them and asked Vicente to hand his cellphone in. At first, he refused but ended up giving it to the teacher. The man, turned around and started walking towards the blackboard. Mad, Vicente said the teacher was boring and sticked his tongue out at him. All students laughed. Furious, the teacher tried to kick Vicente out of the classroom but the boy kept sitting on his school desk. So the teacher repeted his commandment but five friends of Vicente said that they were united, so that if one of them left the classroom, then the whole class would go together. The teacher got confused and one of the teenagers told a joke. While the students were laughing, the man asked them to be quiet because he would like to keep going with the class. Giggling, Vicente told he did not need to learn math since when he grew up he would be a rich and famous singer. Angry, the teacher replied to Vicente that if he did not know how to do mathematical calculations, he could not have that much money. Vicente, got up from his chair and walked through the class saying that as he was handsome women would pay to kiss him on the mouth. The opinion of the female students was divided: some applauded, while others booed. At this moment, the buzzer went off. As the teacher disliked the jokes, he warned that next day he would have a serious conversation with the principal and would punish the impolite students. When the students left school, Vicente's friends said that he had serious problems with the teacher. Suddenly the teenager had an idea! Smiling, he said he would easily solve this problem. As soon as he got home, he went to his mother's room. On top of the dressing table was a quartz that belonged to his great-grandfather, Pedro. His ancestor received it as a gift from an old Indian. People used to claim that quartz had magical powers, because of the story that said that his great-grandfather fell in love with a farmer's daughter. As she never noticed him, with the help of the quartz powers his spirit lodged itself in her boyfriend's body. After twenty-four hours, his spirit returned to its original place. The girl delighted herself with the man's kindness, ended the relationship with her boyfriend and got involved with Pedro. Secretly, in the next day, Vicente took the quartz and went to school. When he entered the classroom, his friends told him that teacher Fábio was talking to the principal. The boy took the quartz and thought he would like to be in the teacher's body. Suddenly, he felt dizzy, closed his eyes and the moment he opened them, he realized that his spirit was in the teacher's body. Smiling, he praised Vicente and his class to the principal. When he left the principal's room, the spirit of teacher Fábio, being in the body of the boy, almost crying, said that he would like to return to his body. Laughing, Vincent explained how they had exchanged bodies and that within twenty-four hours their spirits would return to their original bodies. At this moment the buzzer rang and Vicente, in the teacher's body, went to teach in the 7th grade. When he entered the classroom, the students were talking and joking. Instead

of teaching, he started playing with the teenagers. After ten minutes or so, the supervisor entered the room, and was shocked after seeing the teacher's behavior. The woman scolded him saying that a teacher should have responsibilities and teach the content to the students instead of play with them. Vicente got confused because he had little knowledge of math. To avoid trouble, he began to teach a game to the students, saying that the rules of it used mathematical calculations. Fifty minutes later, he finished his lesson. The next two classes were in the room where Vicente studied. After he entered, he sat down in the chair in front of the teacher's table, called Fabio and ashamed said that he did not know what to teach the students. Laughing, the boy replied that he would show the teacher his mathematical knowledge. Fábio made several calculations on the blackboard and for that impressed the girl that Vicente flirted with. After the two classes, the teacher had to return to his home. The boy and the teacher talked to each other. They would go back to their homes so nobody would notice that they had exchanged bodies. The teacher lived in a neighborhood far from downtown. As he walked past a café, he flirted with a beautiful girl. The moment he entered the house, his wife hugged him and kissed his mouth. The woman held a baby on her lap. As the child cried, she asked her husband to hold the baby while she would go check if the child’s milk was ready. Desmayed, Vincent looked at the lady and thought: "I never kissed a girl, that kiss was horrible, because she is an ugly woman." After a couple of minutes the doorbell was rung. The woman opened the door. A furious man entered and when he saw the teacher shouted that he would beat him up because he flirted with his girlfriend. Then he punched Fábio's face. Vincent woke up scared, it was 4:15, he was lying on his bed. Then he realized that this whole adventure was just a dream, and began to reflect, because he had always criticized the adults, but sometimes these people are boring because they have many responsibilities. As soon as he got to school, he went to teacher Fábio and apologized for being rude. Smiling, he promised that from that day on he would be a good student, because he needed to learn mathematical calculations so that when he finished high school he could take the college entrance examination to study in the college of his dreams.

A Revanche dos Ubelinos

- Precisamos libertar aquela pobre menina, falou Ardel.

- Eu te treinei durante oito anos para lutarmos com os Ubelinos, se nós dois nos entregarmos seremos mortos, falou o mestre Ariovaldo.

- Pois eu prefiro morrer senão ficarei com remorso por ter sido o responsável pela morte de uma criança, falou Ardel.

Desanimado o mestre Ariovaldo falou:

- Nós dois seremos derrotados facilmente.

- Pois, eu vou me preparar para levar o maior numero de Ubelinos junto comigo, falou Ardel.

Passados vinte minutos eles saíram da cabana e se dirigiram ao penhasco Tricô-Treco. Quando se aproximaram daquele local não viram nenhum Ubelino, apenas a menina estava amarrada na única arvore do penhasco. Debaixo dos pés dela tinha bastantes galhos secos. O mestre Ariovaldo falou:

- Eu vou ir libertar a menina, acho melhor você continuar escondido na mata.

- Mestre Ariovaldo o senhor é uma pessoa maravilhosa, falou Ardel.

- Ardel não tenha medo da morte, pois nunca seremos derrotados assim facilmente, falou o mestre Ariovaldo.

Emocionados se abraçaram. Tomando cuidado Ariovaldo se aproximou daquela arvore. Com a espada cortou as cordas que estavam amarradas nos braços e pernas daquela criança. Contente ele falou:

- Menina vai embora antes que apareça um Ubelino.

A menina estava amordaçada, na arvore tinha um Ubelino escondido. Naquele momento este ser laçou o pescoço de Ariovaldo com uma corda e começou a voar para enforca-lo. Ardel ficou desesperado vendo o sofrimento do mestre, ele saiu da mata e correu a beira do penhasco. Sentindo ódio falou:

- Ubelino deixe o meu mestre em paz.

Como aquele Ubelino já havia enforcado Ariovaldo deixou o corpo cair no chão. O rapaz se aproximou dele e falou:

- Mestre infelizmente fomos derrotados facilmente.

Outro Ubelinos apareceu voando e segurava a rainha Elenir com suas mãos. Esse ser pisou no chão perto de Ardel, aquela mulher falou:

- Guerreiro Joelito o desafio a um duelo.

Com raiva Ardel falou:

- Mulher como ousa se aliar com os Ubelinos e tortura a sua própria espécie.

- O senhor é um guerreiro valente ou esta com medo de lutar com uma mulher? Perguntou Elenir.

Ardel desembainhou a sua espada e falou:

- A senhora tem corpo de mulher, mas a sua mente é pior do que a dos Ubelinos.

Ardel atacou a rainha Elenir com um golpe frontal. Ela o bloqueou com um golpe curto. Ele saltitava para os lados e atacava com golpes laterais, a rainha se defendia com estacadas. Naquele momento aconteceu um terremoto, o penhasco em que lutavam desmoronou no precipício. O guerreiro Joelito e a rainha caíram no abismo.
